The things I bought in the past months (almost a year), that I haven't posted yet:

Dream Theater - Distance over time
After the experimental The Astonishing, this is an old fashioned DT album. If you like DT, you'll like this one. If you don't, you won't.

The Neal Morse Band - The Great Adventure
The sequel to The Similitude of a Dream. Although I love this one as well, just like all the other Neal Morse (Band) albums, this is clearly the little brother of the previous album. I'm skipping the concert this time, partly because I'm not that interested in hearing this album from start to finish, but mainly because the concert is on Sunday evening at a 75 min drive.

I also bought two live-albums by The Neal Morse Band, but I'll skip those here.

Borealis - The Offering
Symphonic power metal or whatever it's called. Bit like Evergrey or Symphony X, that kind of stuff. I always dig it.

Dilemma - Random acts of liberation
Dutch progrock in which the song is more important than the skills of the musicians.

Flat Earth Society - Untitled #0
Great album title. The vinyl version has two sides: side 1 and side A.

The Jayhawks - Back roads and abandoned motels
I guess The Jayhawks are called country, right? I generally don't like country, but I've always loved the songwriting and the harmonious singing of The Jayhawks.

Neal Morse - Life & Times
This is not the band version of Neal Morse, so no prog. Just acoustic songs.

The Ocean - Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic
Pelagial was in my top 3 of 2013 and this is almost just as good. Such intense stuff. Here is the full album.

Orphaned Land - Unsung prophets & dead messiahs
This band from Israel exists for 28 years already, but I got to know them in 2013 with All Is One. They have a clear cultural message of all cultures should live together in peace etc... but most importantly, they present that message in music that combines many influences of the cultures in their part of the world and mix that with metal. The result is fantastic. Here is the full album:

The Sea Within - The Sea Within
Progband with Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings) Daniel Gildenlöw (Pain of Salvation) so with the well known melodies of Roine and the voice of Daniel, you know you'll get something beautiful.

Spock's Beard - Noise Floor
Ever since Neal Morse left Spock's Beard, they've never been on the same level again. But they keep going their stuff and they still write good songs.

Valentine - The Alliance
Catchy, cheesy, this is my guilty pleasure. My kids love it too.

I'll try to post right away next times. It's fun to post them (is anyone reading it or listening, btw?), but this was a bit too much in one go.

I probably missed some stuff.

Oh, just remembered two more.

Raggende Manne - Knuppelhout
and
Raggende Manne - Zaad
Dutch punkrock with Dutch lyrics. The lyrics are hilarious.

and the shortest single ever (song on the album is 7 seconds):

Forgot this one as well. I accidentally forgot to put it in my spreadsheet, so it didn't turn up yesterday. Bought it a few weeks ago.

Finally re-assembled a decent audio setup and am loving Donald Glover's Awaken My Love! Probably known by most for the song "Redbone,' but the whole thing is a real sonic treat.

Devin Townsend - The Retinal Circus (2013)

I just can't get enough of this guy. Will be seeing him soon on stage.
I bought the 2CD without DVDs, although it would have been fun to have those as well. I just know I won't watch it more than once, so didn't see the point.
