Haha, I remember loving that video as a kid, my parents often had MTV on as background when doing things around the house and this one got a lot of play for a certain time.

I always wondered what happened to this guy as he just disappeared immediately, and there was no internet back then to find out. :circle:

New Aphex Twin, with a pretty cool video to boot:
Very nice IDM to breakcore track, dig the video too. Didn't know he was back to making some harder tracks.

Ophidian (one of NL's most celebrated industrial/hardcore producers) has made a new EP based on a set of challenges. One song made up of one 909 kickdrum sample, one monophonic song and one song made up from radio samples only. The nice thing is that he made explanatory videos for each song. Cool stuff. Here's the radio one:

Long story short, I'm in an altered state of sobriety. But damn it, this video blows my mind every single time I watch it - one take done in an impressive way.

Blur's Tender is so tender. Here's a remix:

looks like these are the first guys who picked up doom metal in the 80s from Black Sabbath and gave the subgenre name

It's 2.34 AM and I'm wide awake. One of those moments I think maybe I shouldn't have taken that job as a project leader. Whenever I wake up, I start thinking about work and can't let go.

So now I'm downstairs in a rocking chair, sipping of a glass of Laphroaig and listening to Mahler's 1st symphony on vinyl. It helps to relax.

Yeah, that's a skill you have to hone over time - the ability to just let it go and say "fuck it" for the rest of the evening. But it sounds like you have a decent process there...

I even solved some problems before I started drinking, so it was just to get a bit drowsier. It worked.

Two great classical pieces from last month's horror challenge:

Chopin's Prelude 24 from The Picture of Dorian Gray. Here it is on its own:

And here's a clip from its appearance in the movie:

Delibes' Flower Duet from The Hunger. On its own:
