You can now stream the Low album here https://www.npr.org/2018/09/06/64458401 ... e-negative

Easily my favourite album of the year and one of my favs (well you saw its ranking here). This is higher quality than the leak that came out too.

Kate Bush? That's quite a surprise. But I quite like her, though I haven't listened to this album yet.

That Kate Bush album is her most manic, theatrical, and experimental. It was my #1 at one point.

If people say electronic music lack a human element, or even emotion, I show them Coil's Ape of Naples. Seriously makes me cry almost every time. The backstory of the album doesn't help either. The band is a gay couple, and the vocalist died. Only 3 songs are new and incomplete. You can hear that the vocals are taken from live performances and are of lower quality. The rest are from their unreleased album made in the early 90s completely reworked by the producer after the death.

Sufficient? who shall tempt with wand’ring feet
The dark unbottom’d infinite Abyss,
And through the palpable obscure find out
His uncouth way, or spread his aerie flight,
Upborn with indefatigable wings,
Over the vast abrupt, ere he arrive
The happy Ile?

Oh, I'm already loving quite a bit of stuff, in fact a lot is overlapping from your old list and I'm sure you know my tastes by now - the few genres that I really am not into are harsh noise, extreme (black/war) metal and rap/hip hop - most of the rest is of great interest for me. And indeed even with the genres I dislike there are always some exceptions so I generally tend not to generalize things especially seeing as it's becoming increasingly difficult to assign labels to stuff - music has developed quite a bit over the past few decades, these days I sometimes feel we need a "no genre" similar to "no wave"

Low's album came out today and I just listened to it the first time in FLAC. I thought this was absolutely amazing with the leak, but the final release mix makes it even better. This album seriously has potential to get into my top 10. It's exactly what I want in a pop album. This album destroys their debut I Could Live in Hope.
