Well, I disagree with that because I wouldn't even place him in top 20. I'm not a hater though, I actually do like his films.

Hi Algimantas, we're happy to have you.

Considering you're Lithuanian, I take it you like basketball?

Who knew enjoyment of a sport depended on the proximity to a successful team and not some innate predisposition towards a particular type of activity.

Nope, I'm from Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina, but Lithuanians are famous for basketball more than they are for any other sport.

Well done to ICM for conquering the Dutch speaking world. And welcome all!

Good timing for the French challenge, Hippiemans, annd great to see we finally wore you down after 6 years.

Alice, there are plenty of refugees from the Classic Film board on IMDb here, so you should feel right at home.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Notorious is my favorite movie, but Hitchcock is not my favorite director, wel,, he is in the top 5 anyway. But I think I will have occasions to develop and discuss around here at some point ;-)

So, who is your favorite director? ;)

Well, that's a hard one; I don't think I have just one favorite, but I love Lubitsch, Ford, Kurosawa, Ozu, DeSica, Capra, Wyler and Lang a little more than the others.

Hello everyone. My name is Bogdan, I am a 25 year old software engineer from Romania. I had this account for quite some time but never posted until now. I really got into movies after watching 'Solyaris' in high school and never really having seen anything like it before. My favorite movie must be Mike Nichol's 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'.

Welcome!

Poke around and feel free to jump in on any thread. I liked both Solyaris and Virginia Woolf when I watched them, though I'll confess I think I need to give them both another watch to truly digest what they have to offer.
