Which user is the worst. Use your own metric to decide. Reasoning should ideally be included. Forum only users may also be included.

wish I could remember those users who don't check for a month or two and then suddenly jump 50 in the rankings because one day they check 500 movies

I jump by 20-30 a time because I use IMDb as my ratings store and import that every month. Maybe those guys are also?

interesting or not so interesting fact: i've actually met this guy irl, his son and I used to be friends and classmates a few years back. I thought I recognized his face from somewhere and then some time afterwards I realized he's the book guy on icm. I used to read his blog and I thought some of his reviews were pretty good, really should have just posted carefully selected snippets instead of spamming links and references to his book.

Type of ICM users I don't like:

1. Users who don't like experimental shorts yet feel the need to keep watching them and commenting on how much they dislike them.

2. Users who only ever leave negative comments, usually short, uncreative ones often featuring the word 'boring'. An example: https://www.icheckmovies.com/profiles/c ... ser=andype

Oh right. I always thought he was referring to Schneiders 1001 movies, but he was talking about his own book? Never knew that.

Well god knows but I think it's just some vague conceptual thing - if you look at his blog, it's full of phrases like "Not in my book of early special effects", "Not in my book of misspelled names", "Maybe in my book of exceedingly temperamental women". And why does NOTHING MAKE THE BOOK?!

I thought he was talking about some book about Charles Chaplin, because I only noticed him last week when I was watching Chaplin shorts and his not in the book comment was on every one of them.

Good points! May I add

3. Users who comment "Best/Worst movie I've ever seen" - almost always, my response is to think they haven't seen very many movies if they think that was the best or worst.

What's Lim's current iCM handle? I know I've run across a fair number of "I want to buy this, not Film X." comments. Those are super helpful!

I used to get annoyed by the one word comments (years ago I was so annoyed that these kinds of comments got upvoted over unpopular opinion comments that actually had content so I went and did the same to a bunch of films as part of a ‘silent protest’) and the ‘not in my book’ guy, but now I hate empty comments so I like anything. It’s a comment section not a review section so I’m just happy to read any thoughts that someone wants to share. I don’t think any users bother me now.

When he started posting all those comments, he did it in French. About a year ago, I edited all those comments and removed all the French parts. Of course that resulted in some bitching from his side.
