Oh, OK, right - I tried googling, found nothing about this, seems strange such basic info is not available. So 30+ replies means it's "on fire"?

btw, this thread has another symbol, - an "i" letter, probably means it's an informative section? Don't know how it gets qualified as such though.

If you took a few seconds of normal browsing instead of only using "active topics", it would immediately become evident - that's how the forum is built. :P

This is an informative/announcement thread, which is even higher placed than a normal sticky.

Probably so, I have turned off alerts for replies in subscribed posts, don't really see a point in those.

It's white text on very light grey background, I guess that's what Peaceful means.

Yeah, I got that, I use prosilver SE, I don't think I saw any problem, but I have those alerts turned off now.

Hi Peaceful.

One thing that I've just noticed upon browsing user profiles with ''Search user's posts'' is that individual posts in the China/HK/Taiwan Challenge show up as code whereas some posts in the Doubling the Canon Challenge show up properly formatted and with any posted images showing. Not really much of an inconvenience but for the former it does mean that one has to click into the post to properly see what the contributor posted.

Not quite sure why different threads would display in this different fashion when viewed as individual posts from a user's profile.
That's all, folks!

can you give me a link or example? My initial guess is that the posts made on the new forum show up fine while the imported ones have an issue, but I'm not 100% sure I understand what you mean.

Sorry, I should have done that initially. Here, for example, are jdidaco's posts: search.php?author_id=1340&sr=posts. Most of the posts in the Doubling the Canon Challenge show up correctly formatted in contrast to the ones in the China/HK/Taiwan Challenge.

Just stood out and intrigued me. I don't think it has anything to do with importing as they are post-transition posts.
That's all, folks!

From a quick look, I think the issue is the spoiler tag. I have no idea why that happens and it's probably not something I can fix.

I fixed the alert colour issue in square gray. I'm not to happy with the solution, but it works. I'll probably make a better fix when I have more time.

It's good. Someday if I have time I'll try to figure out why that happens. Actually looking at it a bit more, it doesn't seem to be the spoiler tag that's the issue. It seems to happen anytime the post is longer than whatever the search display character limit is.

Aha, yes. That absolutely makes sense when one thinks about it. Short posts appear in their totality whereas one has to click in to see longer posts.

An incentive to keep things nice and short and neat, haha. Cheers for the help.

Most styles have some weird symbols/marks attached to posts by some people. One of the styles has a really big one but it's covered by the quote button (not this one).

But if you zoom in (or squeeze the viewing area?), the online marker pops to the right.

There's and online not online banner in some of the styles, but in others the the little colour bars armo posted and in some I think there's both things, and not always consistently.
