That thing should colour the map instead of placing labels. I got 120 but there's 10 or 15 more I would have gotten if I had realized there were missing labels. Even going methodically by continent it's hard to keep track.

106, but when I was looking over the answers I saw some I thought I had put in already :( It should be a map that gets coloured + a list. But I blame the low score on me having just woken up + the horrendous education system in Australia. I only knew that many because of a Facebook game I was a little addicted to a few years ago.

149. And I totally missed out on some of the countries I know well. Seriously, I missed out on Italy and Portugal.
I've even been to Italy!

Ha, I love these kinds of country naming games.

A good one to play with friends or whatever when bored is going round, until last person standing, trying to think of countries in Africa or say beginning with H...

Fair play if you didn't cheat. :)

Used to be much better at countries and capitals but let my high standards slip.

Nope. Puerto Rico is an "Unincorporated U.S. Territory" and Greenland is an autonomous region under Danish Sovereignty.

US Territories:
Puerto Rico (which, I read, is not an "unincorporated" but "commonwealth" territory. My bad.)
U.S. Virgin Islands
Guam
Johnston Atoll (uninhabited nuclear testing area)
American Samoa
Midway Islands
Northern Mariana Islands
Wake Island

All I'll say is I need to study A LOT more. I am more knowledgeable than most Americans I know and used to work with our international offices. Therefore, I'm going to have to assume that a lot of Americans are lame/retarded in this area.

When I was like 6 I knew every single one of them, including capitals and flags, but now 15 years later I scored 99. Forgot 2 of our 4 neighbors and some other very obvious ones, also there were few (Kyrgyzstan, Swaziland, Guyana...) where I didn't know english name.

112 - missed a lot in Africa, and a lot of island nations both in the Pacific and Atlantic. Had a couple that were misspelled. Could have benefited from a map that got filled in, as mentioned.

135 of 197.

Forgot Bulgaria, Monaco and Romania in Europe.
I didn't know how to spell Kyrgyzstan (I tried several times, but I always placed an "i" after the z, like in Norwegian.

167/197. A bit disappointing, but there were a few countries I didn't know the English spelling of. And too bad about those tags covering up the map. Anyway, nice game, probably going to try this again. :)

Only got 147, but then it took me quite some time to realize I didn't need to click the country FIRST and then type the name. Also, spelling's always been a weakness - had to give up on things like Bosnia and whatever, Kurgusistan, and then there's the issue of what the current name of this or that Congo is. Oh, and it didn't like "People's Republic of China".

Got 'em all right on Beeswax's link eventually - got a little confused on the stans north of Afghanistan, mixed up Bahrain and Qatar but otherwise found it easy if out of date. Sudan is smaller now and the far south of the country is actually South Sudan - an independent state.

I will admit that even on a zoomable map which didn't require exact spelling, SMALL island nations in the Caribbean and SW Pacific would be difficult to pick out.
