There was also a bad VAR call at the end. The hands rule need to be rewritten, it's so vague that not even VAR helps.

Well done AJAX, always liked that club that has produced so much young talent, they had been under the radar for far too long, perhaps a renaissance is overdue?

PSG will need to invest some more  Poor Buffon though - as the commented said, - what club does he have to join to win the Champs League?

I am a United fan, it’s all about scoring goals and winning, they are on an amazing run. Yes PSG made mistakes, that is what pressure does.

An English one or Barcelona I would think this year. Probably won’t happen.

Apparently nearly all referees think it was a penalty just because the hand goes up a bit. But most footballers or ex players think not.

What a game, probably the best of the season.

Was more so supporting City though. :( But I like all semi-finalist teams this year for sure.

Uuuh, crazy stuff indeed! VAR in action again, but seems this time right decisions were made.

Could we have a Barca vs Ajax final?! That would be a sensational Cruyff final :)

Whoever does the BBC online reporting has gone ahead and called it "The best game of football I have ever seen."

I'm sure it was intense even for a neutral, but as a Spurs fan, absolute madness. It played out like it was scripted for a film or something.

How about a Spurs Liverpool final? I mean Ajax are no match for Barcelona surely that would not be a good one? I am sorry Cruyff is not around any more. I don’t care who wins as long as it is not Liverpool.

^That would be a boring final. Surely you have to take Ajax seriously at this point?

Besides, both Liverpool and Spurs are bonafide bottlers, though Liverpool would be my preferred option if the cup had to go to an English team other than my own.

What is wrong with some people? There are human beings with pulses, hearts and brains, who do not like football. I have no idea how they even exist, but take care of them because they clearly cannot take care of themselves.

Don't underestimate Ajax, they have removed Real and Juventus... these are the teams who have either won it or played in the final for the past few years... Ajax actually have won this 4 times in their history, 3 times in the 70s and in 1995.

Ajax also deservedly tied with Bayern in both group matches, also not the least of opponents. ;)

Those historical statics say very little in the CL of the last decade in which a handful of teams dominate the league.

Sure, but the picture hasn't really changed that much, i.e. the same teams still dominate, i.e. Real, Bayern, Barca - except Milan perhaps. Didn't realize Nottingham Forrest were so strong in 1979  They're currently 11th in the Championship..

This top 4 race is absolutely hilarious, all four teams in the running lost their last match.

I didn't watch the Arsenal-Palace match but it looks like a complete shit show judging from the stats. 73/27 possession and 12/16 shots? How does that even work? Every time Palace touched the ball it resulted in a shot?

Did they change the qualification rules so that #6 gets a CL spot instead of #3 and #4 now? I find it hard to believe these teams aren't throwing points on purpose.

I think we still have a chance with Son back for the next leg. It won't be easy but we have a chance.

The Vertonghen stuff was scary, yeah. It's horrible seeing anyone like that.

TAA was super quick and sneaky though, not much Barca could do about it. It was rather genius, although I admit I'm surprised it's legal.

Yeah, apparently legal, that was indeed rather brilliant, no questions there, just shows you cannot drop the ball in such situations...

Incredible effort by Liverpool, but man, Barca bottled it big time. This season has been quite entertaining.
