The Senate just had a 47-47 vote  It's going to get more interesting with a bunch of Republican Senators missing the votes due to quarantine.

Biden doesn't oppose universal healthcare. He wants a public option.

Also, trying to say he's to the right of other countries is a failure to acknowledge civil rights, the racism and homophobia (and also sexism, the right to abortions for example) of other parties and their political leaders in other countries.
Yes, his record on civil rights, racism, homophobia, sexism and abortion is very good!

For a communist everyone else is a right wing extremist
I realize you are brainwashed, but when someone opposes universal healthcare - something even you support, something Thatcher supported, something every single major party in the world except the Democrats and the Republicans in the US supports, they are extreme right.

I realize of course that you consider the hard and moderate right, i.e. Theresa May, and now likely also Boris Johnson socialists - that is because you are on the extreme/far right, and everyone on the right is a left-winger to you (HINT: Stop Projecting) - but Biden is to your right, and you know it. Even you wouldn't want to murder thousands of your fellow citizens in the name of the healthcare industry's profits.

He actually does have a good record on civil rights. That's a reason why he's beating Sanders in the primary.

Well he has been telling some extraordinary lies that the legacy media refused to hold him responsible for. That could have had an impact. He apparently was arrested in apartheid South Africa when trying to meet Nelson Mandela. And Mandela apparently thanked him for his brave resistance. He also claimed he participated in civil right sit-ins in the US.

Also: Not to let this go: Giving people the ability to BUY cheap(*) public health insurance is still a death sentence for all who can't afford it.

Universal Healthcare guarantees healthcare to all citizens. It can be as simple as a national insurance, or something more comprehensive like an NHS system.

All other countries but the US guarantee healthcare to all citizens as a right.

The Democratic Party and the Republican Party in the US are the only major parties in the world so far to the extreme right that they wish to see their citizens die (in the tens of thousands) and go bankrupt (in the hundreds of thousands) every year.

All other parties, left or right, view this as a basic right, something so obvious that it transcends the political spectrum. Even Cipp supports it.

For starters, Biden openly supported gay marriage before Obama and the judges Obama appointed helped America make gay marriage legal. He also voted no on an amendment to ban same sex marriage in 2006. Voted yes to expanding the hate crime definition to include sexual orientation in 2000. Voted yes to prohibit job discrimination based on sexual orientation in 1996.

He helped make sure Bork didn't get a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. Bork had an awful record on civil rights.

He has a record supporting affirmative action.

He drafted the Violence Against Women Act in 1994. He supports a woman's right to an abortion.

He wants a pathway to citizenship for DACA participants (dreamers) and their family. DACA was enacted while he was vice president.

He actively opposes universal healthcare, so does most democrats, i.e. they want people to die.

You really can't get away from this.

So what if they want to expand healthcare? They do not want to expand it to universal healthcare. They don't just want to see people die, they actively fight to see their fellow citizens die, i.e. they are murdering people, that's why they disgust and horrify me so much.

It doesn't matter if they want to murder 68k or "just" 30k, or maybe cut it "all the way down" to 10k. These are still thousands, even tens of thousands of people they actively fight to murder.

And again, this is an extremist murderous agenda to the right of the entire world.

100%

Universal health care is a cheaper and more effective system than the one we have -- not to mention one that a fairly significant majority of Americans want to be implemented. It is indeed a form of evil to block something like this from being implemented.

I have little hope it will happen in my lifetime. We can't even get weed fully legalized. And there is a much less powerful barrier blocking that from happening.

I am not a troll. I try to make reasonable points from a moderate sensible conservative point of view. On the political spectrum test I only come out as moderately authoritarian conservative. For example I would be probably right wing Democrat of the old school as I think you need a system of healthcare similar perhaps to many European countries such as France or Germany, perhaps not the full NHS like we have, but even so a system that ensures most people get affordable healthcare.

Somehow I don’t think Biden will be the final candidate. I even think the election is likely to be cancelled so an acting President succeeds Trump, Pelosi, Grassley or whoever is fit enough. Imagine Nancy not able to do it so you get acting President Chuck Grassley :satstunned: Chuck is already age 80. So maybe acting President Pompeo..

Biden does not know what office he is running for, does not remember much really let alone his policies, in a way he is not in control of what actual policies he would support so probably would go along with what he is told. So not sure if he is anywhere other than lost on the spectrum. Where are we, what are we doing? Should be his slogan..

He is actively dangerous in this situation. Yesterday he was touting one particular treatment combo as the solution. It's based on one small and limited study (20 patients). To go from that one small study to the loudest voice on the planet shouting 'this might be the cure' and demanding it be fast tracked is way beyond irresponsible. What if better treatments now get passed over because he fixates on this? What if it turns out this has little or no effect in larger studies? Or even makes things worse?
Even worse than i imagined. A couple took a non prescription form of one of these drugs as a direct result of his press conference thinking they were protecting themselves. One of them died.

Damn, republicans advocating collective self-sacrifice for the good of future generations, hmmmm ...

(As always, take receipts)

(Should someone tell them about the climate emergency?)

(Too bad the billionaires and multi-millionaires don't have the same urge to make a, much, much, much smaller sacriface)

He uses his power recklessly. He is someone who thinks facts are negotiable and transactional, and can change depending on what you feel at any given moment, he's been given the world's biggest megaphone, and has developed a vast cult of morons willing to follow whatever the cult leader says.

He needs to be removed from power as soon as possible. His misinformation will cost lives. Already has.

I posted on the virus thread that and a twitter comment saying they should die because they are not productive anyways...

Also guys don't take cocoa seriously. I've literally never seen Biden called left wing before even by mainstream libs. Besides, they were a Kamala fan. I cringe so hard when LGBTQ people support a terf like Kamala. Someone who did her best to deny a surgery for a trans woman that the courts already approved, and leaves trans women inside male prisons. A terf isn't really LGBTQ friendly unless you are a terf yourself (the t stands for trans which makes it even more ridiculous). It's just as bad as LGBTQ fans supporting Pete. It's all surface level and nothing about policy.

I can already see it. The fans will think I'm straight and will tell me that I have no place to inject myself into it. 1) bullshit argument and 2) it's not really invading if I'm queer myself

What do you want, thousands of Fortune 500 execs offing themselves because their portfolios dip below $100 million, or millions of ordinary schlubs that work at Walmart getting sick and dying? Clearly if you pick the first you hate America.
