You complain when cats are talked about out of this lounge and then you troll here. Don't be a bigger asshole then you already are, Monty.
Hehe, I love it when you talk dirty like that, kas.

BTW, the first name that came to mind was Buster, but that may not work if it's a girl. Or maybe. Never know.

If you hate cats so much why are you taunting people who love them? Seriously, have a little respect and don't be such a jerk.

As the originator of this thread doesn't seem to be inclined to do anything other than spew abuse, it's time someone took responsibility and brought things here back on track.

I was about to go to bed last night, but lay back for a few minutes on my bed and Spaz just plopped between my legs:

Here's Indy, pic taken from the ad that we answered.

Image

I'd like to upload a pic of the third one, Mia, but all she wants to do right now is hide and the ad picture doesn't do her any justice. Anyway they were £25 each (we paid a little extra anyway because we're nice) as the lady we got them from was just interested in getting them into a good home. They belonged to her auntie who died a few weeks back. Apparently they're between 2 and 3 but Mia's so tiny and timid that we think she must be younger. In any case we put a little extra on top of the asking price

Since I got back, Pilot has been obsessed with me. He keeps following me around everywhere and banging on my door if it's closed.

All the animals missed me apparently... Mum said Spaz (the cat who sleeps on my bed every night) stopped meowing and would bang on my door endlessly, Pilot was often sitting outside my door and banging on it, and my mouse didn't eat for 3 days until mum started talking to him.

The photo's a bit blurry as I took it on my phone. He's really affectionate and has settled in fast. I've only had girl cats in the past and they haven't been as affectionate and as playful from first introduction.

Not to stereotype, because I've had some super affectionate female cats, but in my experience male cats are sweeter.

I agree. Our two male cats are very mild mannered. Our female can be a little touchy.

All the cats I've ever had; most of them have been affectionate, but the only ones that have ever been 'touchier' have been the females. Most of the cats we've had have never liked being picked up and cuddled, though we've had 1 female and 1 male that do enjoy it. I dunno if we've just been more hands-on with our cats because most of them were kittens from previous cats we had so we were literally with them from the day they were born.

Having your cats as kittens can certainly shape how much they will like being pet and carried around.

Some good advice for those pestered by ferals...

I'm not sure how someone can be "pestered by ferals" (Are you just trying to get a rise out of Kas?), but trapping, neutering, and releasing is a humane way to control the local stray cat population -- that is, in the long run it's being kind to the local cats, even if the cats hate it at the time, as these do. (By the way, those are some big, healthy-looking ferals!).

I have caught several cats with cage traps that are like this, but more home-made (the trigger was me waiting with a string). I never had the heart to release them again, though, so they have been my pets. My two current cats are former ferals.

This French cat was observing us when we were visiting some ruins, turning its head slowly as we walked past. It looks funny when cats do that (even though it's impolite to stare). :)

 With some cats, it never ends.

My cat Olya approaching me: "I am ready to be scratched and pet and cuddled now until such time that I say you may go."

Me approaching Olya: "Argh! Who is this strange axe murderer?! Run for your lives!"
