Well I know they’re not... family friendly, but I found them interesting because when I had them I had not yet realized it was rape, but it’s pretty clear that my ‘subconscious’ recognized something was wrong. First one is about seeing something that happened to me from different perspectives and realizing it wasn’t what I had remembered, second involves me being unable to move or speak while he is able to do whatever he wants and the third is someone pretending to be good, or a friend so they can do something awful.

In a surefire sign I've gone off the deep end, I had a dream about the Official Challenges on this forum.

Our official challenges had reached such an exalted status that we were competing, in person, in a complex series of challenges that would stretch our physical and mental limits. It started off with a couple physical challenges. I wasn't doing particularly well, but was trying to keep up as best I could. Then came the third challenge, and it was a doozy: we had to go on a "date" with a celebrity and be not weird and creepy.

Obviously, due to the exalted status of our Official Challenges, this competition was being sponsored by a movie studio. And the celebrity we each were paired with was solely responsible for determining our score in this challenge. I was pretty confident, but then my random celebrity pairing was revealed: Hillary Clinton.

So Hillary and I walked around the movie back lot and just chatted about life. Pretty much everything except politics. And it was remarkably fun. My impression of her was that she was remarkably down to earth and cool.

Of course, then my dog flapped and needed to be let out, so that's where the dream ended. I'm guessing this means that the Official Challenges are likely to become an Olympic event, probably at the 2024 Olympics. Or maybe I just need to stop running challenge stats right before bed.

In reality we don't look the same but we both definitely couldn't care less about shaving. Ryan Giggs sort of nonchalance, you know.

Last night I dreamt that Grimes was a friend of someone who lived on my uni campus and somehow we ended up hanging out. I went back to where she was staying and it was this weird one room apartment thing behind this accessory store (bags, purses, jewelry), and the room was a giant mess of boxes and bags of accessories and it reminded me of work. She needed to get dressed and just started taking off her clothes, looking for other clothes topless, and I was thinking that I had to tell Arthur about this (lol). Then we ended up getting chased by these people with special powers because they thought she was involved with something but she had powers too. But that's all kind of hazy. Oh and another part of the dream was that I was talking to one of my lecturers and she said that in one of her semester's a student called Billy had been in love with her and had sent her letters.

I dreamt that I was living next door to Nathan Fillian and he was such a gentleman, and we fell in love over time. It was the most wholesome and nice dream I've had in a long time. Now, how to move next door to Nathan Fillian... LOL

For anyone curious about the dream studies thing I got involved with last year; I got an email today with a few more questions, and to say that a few things have happened to slow them down but now they are back to sorting through all the "rich material" of my dreams

Haha I didn’t think anyone would notice that but the double space irritates me in the preview.

They messaged me a bit yesterday, asking a couple more questions and making sure I was comfortable with them discussing certain things. They shared a couple of draft paragraphs that they’d written about sexuality in my dreams as well as part of the intro explaining the study. I was also excited to go through the pseudonyms and work out who everyone was (such bizarre name choices!). I don’t want to give away too much info until they are done in case it messes with their study but it’s really exciting to have my dreams used for something useful and cool.

Also the guy complimented me on my ability to organize data usefully and I felt so proud of myself lol.

I still don’t remember my dreams much and I’ve remembered two lately that have been really scary and had some kind of monster chasing me. I had one the other week about zombies and I woke up twice and fell back asleep and continued the dream. They were fast zombies that screamed, Tyrion turned up at some point and got taken by them. And Dustin from Stranger Things was around as well. It was a long dream but it was pretty much just hiding out somewhere in silence and then being disturbed by screaming zombies and having to run or jump out of Windows.

Last night I dreamt about dragons descending on this city I was in and just burning everything down and swarming into buildings to make sure everything was burnt down. I had one following me and I could never catch a break. Eventually one picked up a car I was in with others and brought me to this mass execution site with rows of people. Davos Seaworth was there working for the dragons but helped us escape into the forest with some cheese.

Bumping an old thread, but it turns out a side effect of one of my meds is having vivid dreams. I recently started the max dose and I usually get like 4-5 nightmares a night now. This one was so surreal on top of it.

There was a lab with these human/plant hybrids. I was trying to get them back to "normal", but during that one of my assistants transformed into one as well. The previous ones complained about being hungry, so the new one shat out some green slimy food. They tried it and said it was gross, but they're hungry enough to eat it anyways. They then starting dancing and jumping around. I was then transported outside and realized that they're dancing affects the outside world, but their legs are giant and were crushing everything. The world was basically being destroyed by them. I ended up running to the beach where I thought it was safe, but was getting attacked by everyone who usually had glass shards. I would disarm them, collect the glass shards, and usually incapacitate them with a rock. There were a lot of beach houses and their doors were open. They were always elementary classrooms inside. I tried to rescue people but most refused to leave. The last one had a group of people huddling around a crib and crying. I looked to see if it was a dead baby, but it was in fact a clarinet. I then gave them those filters mechanics use with a tube so they could use that as an instrument, but they said some parts were missing. I then woke up.

Something about William Castle and a miniature wave machine that was inside a glass cube. Wish I could remember more of this...

There was a ritual every 4000 years to enter a new dimension. What you have to do is travel throughout the universe to get some sheets of paper, combine all of them in a certain table, and then a puzzle where you move the shadow figures around to form a cane. There were 2 other people trying to get the papers: Pete Buttigieg and Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon ended up getting the sheets, and brought them to the room with the table. I kicked him out and locked the door and assembled the papers. He was trying to break in, so I held the door while a friend solved the puzzle. Eventually the person does, and I run towards the table and jumped on it. A ghost skeleton dressed like a knight floats towards the table, pushes me out of it, and takes the other person into that new dimension.

In my dream last night I had wandered near this fenced off area where soldiers were training for something. I overheard one of them say ‘you can’t just tear a guy away from his spreadsheet, that’s like ripping him apart from his soul’.

Some exciting news :circle: The guys that were studying my dreams have finally published their article: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog ... -adulthood. The actual journal is behind a paywall unfortunately, and they did send me a copy but I shouldn't post that publicly.

Some highlights:
Two of her celebrity crushes, actor/writer Donald Palmer and actor Stephen Merchant, are of interest as her final two crushes at age 22.
at least one prominent person [aka celebrity] appears in 35.7% of [mightysparks'] dream reports. This figure is far above the HVdC normative figure of 3.5% for women.
terms related to specific shows, movies, and games reveals that at least one of these closely related interests appears in 45.7% of her dream reports, and a related word string for horror and fantasy appears in 19.5%.

I had a rough night terror when I took a nap the other night. It was my first one in a while. I woke up crying profusely, except that I actually didn't, because that was a dream too. And then I woke up screaming for real.

I was in some house and my parents were there too. It looked like they wanted to give me something; they were standing in front of it so I couldn't see what it was. I had a suspicion though. When they stepped aside, I saw that I was right: it was a sheep! I could have asked if it was really a gift (and if so, how I was ever going to be able to take care of it), but I was speechless. Instead, overwhelmed by its cuteness and fluffiness, I squatted down and started petting the adorable animal. But then it started to eat my hair. :pinch:

I remembered a dream again, but it was a very bad dream, sort of a nightmare, so skip if you don't want to read this, although i'm gotten used to it, and i think i've much more worser dreams than this, but this one made me wake up after only 3 hours after sleep. Note that my dreams are usually microdreams (not long ones, or I do forget, or more likely is like an anthology of stories), note that i'm unable to talk or hear in dreams unless i do it lucidly and even than it happens rarely (communication usually doesn't happen, if it does, it's through letters or notes and if i have thoughts i write them myself in my dreams in a book) and note that they to have a certain kind of style that is weird, sometimes up to absurd, hyperkinetic, abrupt mood changes, like extremely psychedelic and kind of innovative too, often kind of sf but not as you see in a sf movie, often in foreign countries but also often borderline hyperabsurd and abstract. Many of my thoughts i've first had or spread, were ones that were explored in dreams, and not ones I explored myself.

So what happened: it was probably a dream of 40 seconds, unless i can't remember what happened before but it would almost certainly not make sense or not strongly be linked if that's the case (like in stoner movies): i was sort of picnicking but it was already night, i was there with my dad and step mom, and perhaps some others (i think perhaps my brother & sisters but they weren't prominent in my dream, more like mutes). I was still awake, because it was pretty much middle of the night, everyone was asleep, i had my laptop with me (of course) out there in the open, completely in the dark, next to a street but mostly greenery with some trees around it and occassionally some houses, i see some cars driving next to me, than suddenly someone else drives towards me, i think he will hit me, but he turns around and make a u turn on the streets. My Dad wakes up. Before I realize what happens, i realize he is shooting toxic darts towards me and my family. My dad got quickly hit. Quickly i get hit while i quickly ran away but I had no time, and it was like a death through fire peloton of toxic darts... Because i wanted to save my family, i decided to fight through the poison, because i was so concentrated on literally on beating the poison, all my veins widened, went through my skin because my skin teared open and all the blood veins started to burst everywhere on my body. So at one point, i was just all blood.

Than i woke up... realizing this was a dream. This felt like a nightmare but not one of the worst ones i have. I almost always have negative dreams or nightmares, usually less bad than this one, but often way worse than this one though. I can't remember having positive dreams. They do happen, but it's not frequently anymore.

Slept about 6 hours last night (though in two, 3-hour blocks and was awake for about 2 hours in between). And that's probably the most sleep I've gotten in one night since the beginning of March.
Anyway, my dream:
I was in my friend's house and left to go to the store. While in the store I was checking out a double rack of comic books (the kind of magazine rack that has an upper and lower shelf) that was to one side when two kids, probably around 16-18yo come in and quietly worked together to dislodge the top part of the rack loaded with comic books and just calmly walked it right out of the store in front of the clerk. I just looked at the clerk and asked why he didn't bother to say anything or call the police. He said, "It doesn't matter. There are no more police and if there were they wouldn't do anything".
Then I left and went back to my friend's house, only she wasn't home, but her husband's parents were there, perfectly healthy (in reality his father has been dead for 4 years and his mother has been in nursing home, following a stroke, for the last 3). I looked out of the sliding glass door in the living room and there were about 8 kids, all under the age of 10 pummeling the door with rocks, withdrawing knives and yelling death threats at us. My husband's parents just said something like, "yeah, you can't go outside after a certain hour anymore because of lawlessness and mayhem. Just stay inside until morning".

Hopefully that one is not prophetic.

Yeah, that's definitely not helping. It's all fucking stressful and it's also infuriating because the problem is entirely other people, not me. People like your partner and I haven't done anything wrong, but we're the ones who have to live in fear. My sympathies to them. (l)

:/ I assume it's because of the whole Arkansas bullshit? It is more accepted here in Canada but even my partner is still having trouble with coming out. Sorry to hear that
Yeah, that's definitely not helping. It's all fucking stressful and it's also infuriating because the problem is entirely other people, not me. People like your partner and I haven't done anything wrong, but we're the ones who have to live in fear. My sympathies to them. (l)
I've actually been told that I'm one of the better allies simply because I don't really give anyone special treatment for it since gender identity just seems like such a standard and norm thing for me. Zizek did say it best when he said we're in a sad state when coming out as trans is considered a radical act. Like you said, someone's gender identity only affects that one person. I honestly have no idea why the right is making such a big deal about it and going against it.

I get multiple nightmares every night too and some of them make me stay up for an hour or two.

I feel bad about it too because I'm keeping my mom awake with all the screaming.

I'm sorry you guys. I hope you get some restful sleep soon. At least you're sleeping somewhat. Most nights I just lie awake staring at the ceiling and thinking for hours on end and then sleepfor 2-3hrs before work...

A lot of people about their dreams after "defund the police"

Had a weird car dream. So we (with someone else unknown) acquired 2 cars. I needed to fix something about it but not the mechanical stuff - the fitting all the stuff into the huge baggage compartment. One of the items was some kind of a "cake" with the candle lit so that the cars can go. One of the worries was that the candle would burn the other baggage. Another was that the stuff would get shuffled around during movement. I had to stop and fix it on the road. The other driver said I should leave all that stuff at home. In the end I realized that I didn't actually need to light the candles, the car would still go, damn that was stupid I thought, and woke up.

The previous dream was some actioney motorcycle showdown that i already recall having some years ago.

I don't think I can go back to sleep

I was walking up an escalator and entered a place that is drinking bar after bar after bar, and then I stumble on a GIANT room of public washrooms.

I get attacked there. For what felt like an eternity there's me going through tons of torture. I think at that point I knew I was in a dream to an extent. To get out I then gotta go through the worst one involving shit, and vomit. I went through it and recorded it as my way out. When the torture starts, I hear those same 3 notes.

Someone tried to kill me and I ended up showing him the video when he said that would be my way out. He didn't accept it because he said it wasn't been in 24 fps and low quality. I then heard those 3 chords, and had the ability to put him through that torture instead. I'm starting to see that the torture was called tiao mon.

I just wanna get out now so I'm trying to clean the body up, then I keep hearing giggling. I go to another room and there is an Asian woman who seems obsessed with violence and torture. One again, she tries to kill me. I managed to subdue her by grabbing her barb wire whip, and then wrapping it around her and squeezing her to death with it. She then dies and I go back to cleaning up the first body. I then hear someone walking. I just want to get out, so I just carry what I cleaned so far, run away through a bunch of bars and then slide down the side of the escalator.

I then hear "hey!". I look up. It's her with her body still wrapped up, with her just smiling. She then says "do you know what's one thing I always wanted to try? Tiao mon!" I then hear those three chords.

I wake up at that point.
