But at the bottom, the immanent philosopher sees in the entire universe only the deepest longing for absolute annihilation, and it is as if he clearly hears the call that permeates all spheres of heaven: Redemption! Redemption! Death to our life! and the comforting answer: you will all find annihilation and be redeemed!

I'm strongly in favour of Super League.

It's the only way of smaller nations to stay relevant on global theater. Nowadays we basically have 4-5 Super Leagues already (England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany) where all the money flows because of how big it is. A Super League would give a chance to teams like Ajax (Dutch teams) to become more relevant to become relevant again.

What should actually happen is that all teams start boycotting everything (that participate in Super Teams), but also all smaller competitions should boycot everything.

Everything who's against it is a massive hypocrite imo, because everything people criticize the Super League for is already present in like the Premier League... sorry, and it' sjust those teams are lucky to be english... it's insanely hard to mean anything in a global stage if you're not a team from one of the big five nations that buy all good players from our teams because they have much more money, have more prestige like that.

they're morons for not pushing it through

In US, the competition is also like that. Europe is smaller than the US at a whole, so we can do it.

Normally my favourite would have been Belgium but they have too many key injured players I think.

My "good surprise" bet would be Italy reaching the final.
And my "bad surprise" bet would be England eliminated in Round of 16

I was thinking of France as a favorite to win too, but yeah, that Group of Death they’re in could make it tough to even get through the group stage if they’re off their game.

there's no real groups of death as most 3rd place teams still qualify.

I think it’s Italy time to shine this time.

Like always, I’ll support England and Netherlands. And they will end up underperforming as they always do.

Next time I get my hopes up about Scotland, remind me not to be so stupid. On the one hand, happy to just have us back in a major tournament for the first time in 23 years, on the other it's still just as hard to take disappointment. Very hard group but really had to win today to have a chance of going through in third. We created a few chances (should have scored a couple) and the second goal conceded was horrendous.

Roll on England on Friday :satstunned:

High five from Poland
We were in many major tournaments in the last 20 years but it's almost always the same disaster, no matter who are we playing against. European stars from Serie A and Bundesliga are suddenly turning into amateurs against Senegal or Slovakia. I'm so jealous for the older people that have seen our national team being 3rd in the world cup twice..

I think Poland played good and they had the possession of the ball more than sixty percent until the red card. They couldn't get the ball to Lewy though, they need to figure out that bit. I checked some commentaries from Polish fans and there is an overwhelming negative sentiment for the team as they really buy in the narrative of "first match is the opening match in which we eff up some way, in second match we play for everything and come up short and third match is for honor since no means of advancing is available". But as brokenface pointed out the third placed teams will also have a chance to advance, in the 2016 tournament Northern Ireland advanced with three points and zero goal differential. Even if the Polish side couldn't hold off Spain as Sweden did, there is a very likely chance that they will something more than honor to play for in the last group match.

Full props to Slovakia and their best player Skriniar who scored the winning goal.

Now the sad narrative is that they lost the opening game, the game for everything and the honor, all at once. Some say it's our best generation since 1982, definitely the most expensive ever, but the mistakes they made and the lack of determination and accuracy were just unprofessional. People feel cheated. Even our hyped Lewandowski was playing probably the weakest game of the season. Slovakia looked like they have fun, Poland looked insecure. And if we will lose with Spain and Sweden will win with Slovakia, which is a 90% possible scenario, we have no chance even for that 3rd place. But it's really happening all the time - we are nothing in the first game - we only won it one time since 1974, with that Northern Ireland. Then we have the last chance game which we usually lose in some nightmare style - 0:4 with Portugal, 0:3 with Colombia or 0:1 with Germany scored in 90'. Then we have the game that doesn't matter which we usually win without any problems - wow, suddenly they know how to play. I guess it's some mental problem.

Group F really delivered.

Germany - England is going to be good.

Wonder if Ukraine will have to play in their third kit against Sweden..
