The media are reporting that Jeff Bezos has just become the world's first trillionaire. Judging by their enthusiasm the news readers who reported it on the show I was watching seemed to think it was cause for celebration. Not sure why it's something I should be celebrating.

fyi this is not true. The news story is that he could be a trillionaire in 2026. Which would require him to get about 7 times wealthier. He still is unbelievably wealthy. Amazon isn't the biggest company in history though, the Dutch East India Company was far bigger estimated at $7.4 trillion on inflation adjusted basis. And if Aramco went completely public it would be the biggest public company in the world right now.

Bezos currently worth 150B, that makes him the 6th wealthiest person in the history of capitalism. But we must abolish the evil DEATH TAX .

The rich don't pay tax. So you're more hitting the upper middle classes there, which you may well want to, but just thought I'd point it out.

She's agreed to undergo vetting for possible VP nomination.

Only thing confirmed is that she's on the short list.

Yeah, so far it's just vetting and no pick has been made at this point. But sure, I really fucking hope Klobuchar doesn't actually get picked as VP...that would obviously prove that their supposed intent to pick a woman of color was horseshit.
I’m to remember every man I've seen fall into a plate of spaghetti???

Warren should be VP. She secured the nomination for Joe by stabbing the progressive movement in the back. Also she is a woman of color!
