Who is Bolsonaro?
President of Brazil. He might actually be worse than Trump, at least in terms of being a bigot and the environment.

Oh. Ugh.

Unrelated:

Mike Lee is apparently now supporting Tim Kaine's (D) War Power Resolution. He's *pissed* at Trump.

I'm actually convinced that Trump has a good chance of beating Biden. Buttigieg, although obviously better than Trump, will be almost a far right party in terms of capitalism and imperialism. Expect wars to continue under his leadership.

Don't see how Biden is going to defeat Trump in the Electoral College. He could win Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada + the Popular Vote. But his policy record is toxic in the Rust Belt that actually decides the election: Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Iowa. It would be a repeat of the fake populist vs Status Quo Manager race of 2016. Then there Is Ukraine which Is a great liability for BIden.

However, the polls are currently saying something different. Biden is +7 in Michigan for instance.

Brookings Institute shows that the low unemployment numbers hide that 44% of working Americans are barely earning enough to get by.

Um, wars have continued - or been started - under the leadership of essentially every American president in my lifetime, with the possible exception of Carter (I'm sure there were minor skirmishes going on at least that we were involved with, I just don't remember right now and don't feel like researching it). Yes, Bernie Sanders makes a bigger issue out of being anti-war than any of the other candidates, but call me cynical - I just don't think it's going to happen.

But is it a surprise? Has the most powerful country in the world at any time not had it's fingers in the business of other countries, with war being one of the usual results? Look at the UK for the couple of centuries up through WWI, or France in the 18th and early 19th centuries, Germany from the mid-19th-mid-20th century, the Soviet Union over it's whole history, etc. Apparently you can be the biggest guy on the block without beating up the other kids, and nobody who is the biggest ever wants to stop being the guy who calls the shots.

I dunno OldAle. Obama was a right wing president too imo so maybe someone who's actually left wing might stop the wars.

Biden ahead by 21 points. All my hope for America will literally be gone if he or Buttigieg is the nominee. This is the best chance America is going to have for a long to have a left wing president. They would be a much better fit for the GOP.

I think people forget just how far to the extreme right many (if not most) democrats are. They are outside of the political spectrum in almost every other country. Hell, even someone like Thatcher believed (or professed to believe) that universal healthcare was an absolute must.

You cannot find a single major right-wing party running on for-profit healthcare. You just can't. It is unimaginable.

Phew was really scared for a minute.

Wasn't there an intern that died from overworking though? I did have something like that on one of my first accounting jobs. Working overtime every day (only 1-2 hours a day thankfully), but weekend shifts on top of it. To top it off, I was getting paid minimum wage for being new, probably being the only suit and tie worker making minimum wage in the country (internships are really rare here).

I'll be much happier working blue collar even if I'll be broke.

Sanders leading in a CNN Iowa poll. Hope he will lead in the Selzer poll as well. He needs to win IA to gain momentum to win NV and NH and to be well positioned to do well in Super Sunday with sweeps in CA, CO, ME, MN, UT, VT and maybe MA, OK, Arkansas. Winning California on Super Sunday is a must. But first poll is Iowa. Buttigieg dropped 11 points which is bad for him. Biden only fourth in a poll, so it's great news for the Sanders campaign, but a month is still a long time.

I agree. Trump isn't the worst but still a narcist and doesn't behave like a president, although his message resonates to the working class. That's his strength. On foreign policy so far, he has been a good president. Domestically, it's a disaster, but that's my opinion. Would vote for Biden, Sanders, Warren or Buttigieg. Only race in which i would vote for Trump if it was Bloomberg vs Trump or Clinton again vs Trump.

I really need to avoid random twitter accounts although some of his stuff is more on the popular side.

He's a kamala fan and they are actually the fucking worst. They make me so angry that I can't even sleep tonight. They talk big on lgbtq rights but then support someone who did her best to block a trans woman's surgery. They even resort to writing in a vote for her or someone else instead of voting for someone like bernie because he's an old white dude. Do you know what happens in a case like that? You support the oppressor. In this case it's Trump... someone who's actively against the marginalized communities that these people brag about their so called love for.

This guy did a 1 up though and said America should be the aggressor with other countries. Is he not aware that will kill many marginalized people?

Kamala fans are right wing pieces of shit under the guise of fake feminism and identity politics. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The funny thing is there's a famous youtube video game reviewer who's also type 2 bipolar. Instead of working on his channel he just tweets about politics all day to the point that the domain on his website expired.

@ Cippenham: How many more times will you post something about "Bernie will be stopped at all costs" and "I think Hillary might enter the race"? You're surely in double digits for both over the last couple months.
Surely you must know that the more times you say something the more likely it is to be right. Just like if you close your eyes and think about something really hard it is bound to happen.
