Eh, it's being mentioned quite often on this forum, and not even by me. There's even a SWAP thread about it I believe.

It's also surprisingly popular in an Asian-focused film community I frequent. I always thought it was quite obscure, but it's almost like some kind of Stand By Me there. Bubbles etc :)

Yeah, I went for it because I've seen it mentioned a few times here.

Anyway: Slumdog Millionaire?

This one is NOT Japanese and has been checked about 1,000x more than August in the Water ;)

I see two films that fits, I'll go with the bigger one: Apocalypse Now?

Edit: shugs was quicker, my second guess was Platoon

I don't read SWAP-topics, I don't read challenges, so that limits the mentioned movies that I notice.
It's in only one single forum made list: iCM Forum's Favourite Under 50 iCM Checks Movies. And it's already ineligible for that list, so technically not on any forum lists.

Maybe he hit the wrong emoji and he was actually trying to make Vampire's Kiss.

 You're close with "mute". Maybe 🤐 would be even more fitting.
It refers to the film title, not parts of the story.

Stoned?

Never heard of that movie, but I'm just trying to make a title from a gravestone and the letter D.
