Combine two films

#1

Post by AdamH »

Inspired by 'The Jaws of Satantango", what films do you think could be combined to make a great film?

I mean in terms of plot rather than title (but either will do).

Satantango badly needed shark attacks in between the hours of people walking. :P

thanks, Local Hero, but I couldn't think up any suitable blurbs. Anyone else like to try?

The first is probably about male menopause and getting out of the rat race and back to the land....

I guess the film I'm writing now could be called Black Swan Drive (Black Swan/Mulholland Drive). I wrote the script, then saw Black Swan and was horrified that it has a similar theme. However, it is different enough, that might be okay.

I haven't seen Black Swan (yet), but I'm under the impression that it's the same theme as Polanski's Repulsion. "Repulsion Drive" isn't too bad a title, is it?

Not too bad at all. In fact, maybe it's even closer to Repulsion. Man, I just love Polanski.

Was just talking about Zach and Miri today. Someone was asking me about my favorite Kevin Smith film. Was just trying to think of Kevin Smith titles. Zach and Miri obviously isn't my favorite. :pinch: ;)

Needed a break and discovered this thread. So.... how about some movie/TV crossovers?

Once Upon a Time in American Idol - Childhood friends and gangsters reunite for a singing competition - winner gets the briefcase full of cash; loser gets shot.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Betty - A young woman working for a fashion designer overhears the location of an immense horde of cash and jewels stored in an elite nightclub. Unfortunately, she's not attractive enough to get into the club, so she partners with someone who is.
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle - A writer doing research for his crime novels is visited by two stoners who convince him to try mini-hamburgers for inspiration.
Jesus Christ Super Star Trek - This musical, set 400 years in the future, examines Jesus' surprise second coming aboard starship NCC-1701.
American History X-Files - After overcoming his racist views while in prison, Derek Vinyard joins a paranormal investigative team to help deal with his aversion to illegal aliens.
