¶ ScreenShot Quiz - Elle Driver: Women Behind the Wheel

#1

Post by Perception de Ambiguity »

Not all films are necessarily on any ICM lists, official ones or any other kind. This quiz is Safe For Work.

Rule 1: No editing.
Rule 2: Within the same post only one guess for the same screenshot.
Rule 3: No cheating, duh! (Google Image, etc.)

As the second-most-voted-for theme of the last poll let's give "This is music on my eyes!" another chance, shall we.

Nope, and it isn't "Ms. Thank You" either.

Thanks for the correction.

Dead-wrong about 'Daughters of Darkness'. But you got almost the right year, at least. This one is actually a big favorite of mine, but few people here will have seen it.

It's my third "Women Drivers"-themed screenshot quiz, even it's the first one on this forum. I have made a lot of quizzes on IMDb before I started doing them here. At times I had several quizzes with the same theme running at the same time, and the files and actual links are numbered, for example in this case, from "driver-w-61.jpg" to "driver-w-100.jpg", so the continuous numbering actually served a clear function, like not overwriting the old files with the new ones. Migrating the quiz to another forum the numbering doesn't make much sense anymore, and since the forum actually displays the pictures you don't actually see the links and file names either. But let's say it has become a tradition, and at least for myself it still has some practical uses, like, not running risk of overwriting my old files since I keep a record of all my quizzes.

And yes, Loretta Young sure had a long neck and was one of the more attractive women who apparently really resembled a llama, but not that this is a bad thing, I hear she is the absolute favorite movie star among Kayan people.

I've just seen that unfortunately I messed up when I originally saved this file so I myself don't know anymore what it is from. So while I could believe anything you tell me I don't think that this is from 'Dekalog', even though the actress indeed does look a lot like the one in Dekalog #7, especially because of the glasses. But 'Dekalog' has a 1.33:1 aspect ratio while this shot is in 1.77:1. There is actually a cropped Blu-ray release in 1.77:1 in existence of 'Dekalog' (link), but that didn't come out until 2015, and the one thing I know for certain about the picture is that I saved it in June 2014, and it very much also appears to be taken from a DVD (the original size was 1024x578 pixels). It looks like a newer film to me personally and if you compare actresses I can't find that mole on the upper lip on Maja Barelkowska, the 'Dekalog' actress in question, not to mention that her hair is lighter. It could always be that it just looks darker because of lighting conditions, but I very much doubt it.

But if you are able to find the scene and show it to me you win :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtqlC8XtE4I
