Name that movie

Post by monty » June 14th, 2011, 1:13 am

Any self-respecting film forum needs its very own movie guessing thread, so this is it.

The rules are simple:

1. Post a screenshot of a movie
2. Post another picture at least every 12hours if nobody guessed it yet
3. Any use of thumbnails/miniatures instead of regular sshots is prohibited.

New game:

- If there's no new screenshot within 24hours, anyone can start with another movie
- If someone answers correctly, that someone may post the next movie to guess!
- If nobody manages to get the movie right after 3 days, anyone can start with another movie

- And lastly, in keeping with the fact that this is an ICM forum, the movie to be guessed has to feature in at least one of the ICM lists.

Without further ado, let's get the ball rolling with this one:

I've been staring myself blind on those pics. I know I haven't seen the movie... It looks to me like Vincent Price, correct?

Theatre of Blood

I'm pretty sure so:
Edit: Sorry, the first pick wasn't on an ICM list. But this one is:

Better make use of the opportunity, young man. An old hand like Crinderman should know better.

@ARUCARD: It's the right guy, but the wrong movie.

One should always wait for confirmation before posting a new assignment.

The movie features on 2 ICM lists - the Spaghetti Western list + the 100 Essential Westerns.

No.
For this spaghetti classic Ennio Morricone provides one of the most famous scores in the history of westerns.
The IMDB rating is above 7.1

Excellent spaghetti western, I recommend it highly to people looking to explore the genre beyond Leone and Corbucci.

Guess this:

It certainly is. Deserves to be on more lists than just the Academy Award for Best Foreign Picture list.

Your turn.

Yay! My work blocks all free image hosting sites, so I will post a screenshot once I get home. (It's not so much fun if you can see the file name is something like "johnwaynefightsvictormclagleninthequietmanbyjohnford.jpg"...)
