I'm curious as to why you aren't keen on those four in particular? What is it about their reputations that puts you off?Coryn wrote: ↑October 21st, 2019, 4:51 pm My goal to see all movies I hadn't seen yet on 23+ official toplists ends tomorrow, only La passion de Jeanne d'Arc (1928) to check off.
There are still 4 movies left on 23+ official lists I was planning to watch but won't in the end:
The Best Years of Our Lives (1946)
La règle du jeu (1939)
Roma città aperta (1945)
Ugetsu monogatari (1953)
Reason for this is that this month has been full of 6/10 movies for me which means they are okay. All movies that were left on 23+ lists at the start of this month were movies I wasn't really keen on watching and it turned out I was right about most. Also a bunch of 7/10's but almost no 8/10's which is a shame.
It's not that I won't see them in the nearby future but they just look to have a lot in common with movies I've seen this month and I need variety more than anyone else on this forum.Obgeoff wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2019, 4:30 pmI'm curious as to why you aren't keen on those four in particular?
