They Live was an interesting one. I really enjoyed the special effects and the plot was fun. However, it seemed like it was deliberately made to be a B-movie. This bothered me a bit because I feel like if you have the chops to make a B movie on purpose, you also have the chops to make an A movie on purpose. It was probably an homage or something. Anyway, the characters were all very flat but it was quick-paced and I enjoyed myself. Btw, that fight scene sheik, whoo boy, that was just the definition of extra.

Nathan, glad you liked the movie! I'll try to keep that streak going and pick The Stranger from 1991 for you.

Here's my new list:

1. The Invisible Man (1933)
2. The Last of the Mohicans (1992)
3. Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)
4. Hamlet (1948)
5. Alphaville (1965)
6. Legend of Bailiff Sansho (1954)
7. Good Morning Vietnam (1987)
8. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (2003)
9. La Dolce Vita (1960)
10. Seconds (1966)

Can you send me the iCM link? I'm not sure which one you are referring to.

Eesh, yeah I should have tested that one. I figured with it being on six lists it would get some prioritization in the results but...

The Purple Rose of Cairo - It was a nice rom-com but I'm not the biggest of this genre. It wasn't the best Woody Allen nor the worst.

beasterne go for Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (2003)

you can choose a movie I need to watch

Didn't know where to start so just looked at what you hadn't checked for TSPDT, and picked a favourite of mine for you zissou14; Marnie (1964).

Trying to get through my backlog since I'm running out of hard drive space, so I'm using a randomizer to select films.

1. The Muppet Movie (1979)
2. O Ritual dos Sádicos (1970)
3. Preservation (2014)
4. Sukkubus - den Teufel im Leib (1989)
5. Womb (2010)
6. The Atticus Institute (2015)
7. Koruto wa ore no pasupooto (1967)
8. I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. (2017)
9. City After Dark (1980)
10. La sorella di Ursula (1978)

It seemed to choose a lot of horror :/

I watched Ghost Story and rated it 4/10. I need more plot than what this movie was intended to provide.

mightysparks, I pick The Muppet Movie because I just watched a Jim Henson production, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.

01) The Lovely Bones (2009)
02) Bright Star (2009)
03) Moon (2009)
04) It's Complicated (2009)
05) In the Loop (2009)
06) Dumplin' (2018)
07) Eighth Grade (2018)
08) Isle of Dogs (2018)
09) Crazy Rich Asians (2018)
10) Roma (2018)

I watched The Muppet Movie. Muppets and Sesame Street and the like were never part of my childhood and are not really my type of humour. It’s a little too childish and silly, but is pretty harmless and seems to be full of references, cameos and in-jokes that may be fun for fans. As a non-fan, it feels stuffed full of random moments and annoying characters though it’s not as irritating as some of the other Muppets stuff that I’ve seen. The songs, and the singing, are pretty awful though and definitely turn it into more of a drag. 5/10

sheikofhyrule, I'll pick Moon since it's the one I liked the most of your choices.

1. Footlight Parade (1933)
2. O Ritual dos Sádicos (1970)
3. Preservation (2014)
4. Sukkubus - den Teufel im Leib (1989)
5. Womb (2010)
6. The Atticus Institute (2015)
7. Koruto wa ore no pasupooto (1967)
8. I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. (2017)
9. City After Dark (1980)
10. La sorella di Ursula (1978)

I pick the #2 for mightysparks. Need to see more from that director.

I watched Marnie and was a little bit disappointed. I prefer when Hitchcock is more thrilling and less melodramatic but I loved the chemistry between Connery and Hedren.

For fori (I assumed it's you https://www.icheckmovies.com/profiles/cobac/) I choose Estiu 1993 a beautiful movie from last year

you can choose any movie I need to watch

Kurutta ippêji (1926) for you zissou
I watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) and it's my least favorite of the three. I couldn't get into the story at all, but at least the action is fine and there isn't embarrassing atempt at humour. 5/10

1. 12 Years a Slave (2013)
2. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
3. Ted (2012) (NEW)
4. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
5. Iron Man 2 (2010)
6. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
7. Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
8. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
9. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013)
10. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
