Np, xian. Was it as traumatic of an experience as the first time around?

no trauma and surprisingly little laughter - I did think they were graduates of the Dragnet 68 school of acting though, well, until the guy that reminded an awful lot of Timothy Hutton - surprise, it's his old man! - blew his top at the old timer on the phone. I think what scared me most is the 6.9 rating on IMDb though I thought (from the lower quality online version) that the forced perspective worked well in making the pruneheads look tiny even if their makeup was less than convincing.

Yeah, think Comedia de Deus' kinky old man gave me more nightmares last night - but then I was dreaming about traveling in Canada by bus - go figure

I remember this American TV drama about domestic violence, but I can't tell the title. The husband was kind until he met an acquiantance (I'm 99% sure it was Eric Roberts) in the gym (where he often went to), and that bloke told him "man, you got thin since last I saw you". The husband took it seriously and begun using steroids, which made him violent all of a sudden as he kept trying to break his weigh records and punch his wife on a daily basis. Then she asks for help, crying all the time.

I looked upon Eric Roberts filmography but no film matches; anyway, the lead character looks much like Tom Selleck.

Yes that's what it is, thanks.

Neither Roberts nor Selleck star there, but some dudes who look very much like them.

One of my librarians asked me about this - all she remembers is

A mother and two daughters
One daughter possibly named Molly
At the end of the film their house was set on fire
Possibly early 90s.

Any help appreciated.

Hi all, I have tried posting this in other forms and locations over the years and have no luck tracking down the movie. I am starting to think I imaged it. I remember seeing a movie in the 90s. The movie could have been from the 70s, 80s or 90s. It was a horror film I think it was a sequel to another movie. Because the scene I remember in the movie was a woman was brought into a kitchen, the camera I think planned from the top so it looked like a movie set or an apartment/house with no roof (could be wrong about the camera panning). In the kitchen, a guy puts his hand in the sink and starts to scream like he lost his hand int he disposal. He pulls out a bloody stump and the girl is scared or screams. The guy starts to laugh and pulls off a glove to show it was a gag/fake. He then reset the glove in the disposal (which is why I think it was a sequel and this was related to something that the woman saw happen int he previous movie where a guy lost his hand in a disposal, not sure if he dies or not). But then as the guy is resetting it, the disposal gag turns for real and he loses his hand. At which point he is escorted away for medical help.

There is also another movie I can't remember what it was called but it is a Korean film. Spoilers Galore Warning:
Spoiler: click to toggleShow
I can't remember the name of this movie but I remember there was a Korean Film I watched, I think on Netflix and at the end of the movie, the subtitles were broken or getting cut off. The premise of the movie from what I can remember was someone get's arrested and then beats the legal system. So a Cop is tired of criminals getting away goes on a rampage and starts killing or torturing the people involved. I remember it ended with a guy in the middle of a circle (he had a mask of some sort on) and was surrounded by a bunch of people chained together. They were all involved in the crime or helping the criminal getting freed. They Then when the cops finally get the guy in the center or he is revealed, it isn't the cop but another victim with a voice box that is connected to the cops cell phone who is shown watching and controlling the situation from a distance. He throws away the cell and walks off into the crowd. My memory of the film is a bit hazy as been a few years since I seen it.

You aren't the first person to tell this same thing. Yes there are some films where people lose their hand in a garbage disposal but this one scene is very specific and I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Two film scenes playing on repeat in my mind that I would like to figure out.

1. 1980s? Female teacher in a classroom, maybe grade 7. Around the classroom above the chalkboard are pictures of birds from least to most intelligent, and the students names are allocated to a bird. I think she admonishes a student for something, and then uses a pointer to move that student from one bird to the next. I think the eagle was the smartest bird. The dodo was the dumbest, and teacher says something like "no one wants to be a dodo". She might have moved that student's name to dodo, I'm not sure.

2. 2000s? I've figured this out before but I forgot again and google isn't helping me. It's a Spanish (or Catalan?) movie where each scene is between only two characters. Each subsequent scent follows one of the previous characters and a new one and it continues until the last scene with one person from the previous scene and one from the very first scene. One scene is between a father and son in a bathroom (one of them is in the tub, I think); another scene is between the son and someone else in an alleyway or something.

Many thanks.

This is a hard one. Don't know if it is a feature or a short but it was a comedy and it played on TV, i think, late 90's or in the first years of 2000's.

From what i still remember the scene plays out like this: there's this guy (highschooler I think) who's doing an important exam, along with the rest of the class, and he starts acting like a smartass.
Instead of doing the exam, he does a picture of his ugly teacher and then delivers the test. When he's outside, he goes to some friends and shows them the drawing, but to his surprise, he brought the test with him instead.
So, out of fear, he sneaks into the class and under the wooden table of the teacher and with his bubble gum, tries to catch the drawing paper in order to retrieve it and switch it.

If you could help me with this, i'll be appreciated.

So did these friends call him a "real genius" too when he showed em the blank test? Actually, that would be about as smart as showing them the drawing. Well, unless it's like real good or smth.
How does he use bubble gum to retrieve the drawing?

Also, you wrote that YOU will be appreciated if someone helps. So, I don't know if that'll help your cause.

If I remember correctly the friends did not call him anything, just laughed hard about it until he realized the mistake. I don't remember if there was one of those "laugh tracks" but it was a "silent movie" in the vein of a british comedy (?!?) resembling Mr Bean's comedies/gags but without Mr Bean.

He was under the table and used his bubble gum like this to retrive the drawing:

Here's one more.. Not likely to be a English film. Some trivial details might be wrong but the basic content is not.

3 friends - Two boys and a girl. In their childhood, father of one of those male friends teaching them how to shoot in an open space. The girl was playing in a near by building. Then one of the boys, triggers the gun which accidently kills the father. Boys were crying and the son asks his friend to run away from there. Then the son tells police that the bullet came from his gun only and goes children reformation jail. There he gets raped by fellow inmates. After many years, he wins a booker prize or something. A newspaper digs his old "murder" story and publishes it. The owner of that newspaper is one of his rapist. That girl is working as a journalist in that newspaper. The other friend has become an architect or something. The climax shows the accidental shooting happened because of a pigeon, which got agitated by the noise that made by the girl playing at the building.

This is Exam Conditions (TV Movie 1992), an early work by Steven Moffat. It's very good; it stars Brian Blessed as the teacher and won a few awards when it came out but now seems to have been forgotten. I've been putting it high up my list for our 500<400 poll, but nobody else ever votes for it.

OK, I'll try this one: German movie which I saw in the 50s. Little girl in a swing, later gets sick and eventually dies - plot intercut with an ongoing performance of Jedermann / Everyman.

Was wondering about a movie I saw in my youth about rescuing a prize cow from one of the Channel Islands during WWII -- Found it on our Favorite War Movies list - Appointment with Venus / Island rescue. Thanks, whoever!

I'm still mulling over the Jedermann movie. Were the Jedermann bits from a separate movie or filmed as part of this one?

No idea, but they were integrated into the plot - little girl on deathbed, parents frantic, cut to Death covering -- with sleeve? It was long long ago - I was probably in college. Thanks for mulling, anyway.

It's likely a famous film but I have'nt find it out until now. I only remember a scene from my childhood while my father was watching it on TV

There are some soldiers pretended to be nazi soldiers for a mission. They reach a hotel to stay but they hesitate to sign the hotel book because of difficult gothic german signs. That's all I remember.

Recently I watched The Eagle Has Landed (1976) but it was not that movie.

Anyone knows this movie?

Update. I figured out #2 in October last year when I watched Barcelona (A Map), which had a similar style. Did some research and found the right film in the director's filmography. It's Caresses: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0140879/ imdb even has a photo of the tub scene I was remembering; turns out they were both in the tub: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0140879/me ... m369367552

Still looking for #1. It's been back in my head recently (not sure why) and is becoming a visual earworm. :D

I have asked this everywhere. It isn't much to go on, I was young when I watched it. Here is what I remember

Ninja. When he dies a new ninja takes his place.
A cave as his base.
late 80s early 90s.

Trying to find something that I swear I've seen a few years ago but I'm thinking that maybe I even made the film up somehow.

I think it was from the 60s. It was black and white. It's about a woman that meets a guy who kills new wives that he marries. Both of them decide to work together on that. I remember comments saying it felt like something John Waters would make.

EDIT: GOT IT! It's the honeymoon killers! It was from 1970 that's what screwed me up.
