01. Reach 1000/1000 on Box Office Mojo's All Time Worldwide Box Office list (currently 817/1000)
I've been slowly working on this list for years, but now it's really time to finish it off as I'm still not expecting many new entries in 2021 because of the ongoing pandemic.

And I'm going to go through Hitchcock's output chronologically, or at least what's available in HD. A lot of rewatches, but I haven't seen his early work and some other random American films. He's also the director who got me into films even more seriously in 2007, so I'm curious to see how he holds up after all these years. Not my intention to finish that endeavor in 2021, though.

I closed 2020 at 825/1000 and now I’m at 858/1000. Good progress.

I don't think I'll do monthly updates... was thinking more at the halfway point (checking with myself where I am at) and at the end (to wrap it up)
But what can I report?
- I participated in the 1000<400 challenge with a solid 58 movies (out of 103 seen in total)
from 40 for gold I've closed the gap to 13 for gold on the 500<400 list

-I already watched 20 features from Germany, 10 from Sweden, 6 from Canada and 4 from South-Korea, so country goals are going well
-4x Bergman, 1x Diaz and 1x Hong is also on track for my director goals I think
-ICM list goals were focused on < and Doubling obviously, I'm also closing in on TIFF Canada, and I started spontaneously on getting bronze on the Golden Foundation Czech list (only 2 to go now after a small spurt of inspiration!)

sidenote: I've seen 23 movies from the 1940's this month! That is more than... I don't know, maybe the last 5 years combined!

1. Complete S&S 2012 - 63 films to watch
2. Get gold on 1001 MYMSBYD - 87 films to watch
3. Regain lost platinums (so far only IMDb top 250) - 4 films to watch
4. Recomplete watching all films on 10+ official lists - 17 films to watch
5. Complete a list of 50 films from 50 genres, chosen by my friend and myself to watch and discuss during the year - 50 films to watch (plus 15 films to watch on the previous list first)

1. Complete S&S 2012 - 58 films to watch. A slow and steady start with five new interesting watches.
2. Get gold on 1001 MYMSBYD - 82 films to watch. Same exact result with this goal.
3. Regain lost platinums (IMDb top 250, TSPDT top 1000) - 12 films to watch. Watched a few films here but nonetheless lost a good bit of ground especially by losing plat on TSPDT by ten new unseen additions. Looking very much forward to see these, though! I aim to do it next month.
4. Recomplete watching all films on 10+ official lists - 15 films to watch. Very little progress. I'll focus on these later.
5. Complete a list of 50 films from 50 genres, chosen by my friend and myself to watch and discuss during the year - 49 films to watch. This is where I focused mainly this month by watching the 15 films I still had to see on last year's friend list (50 films from 50 different countries), and by watching the first one on this year's list.

Get a platinum award, (2-4 away from platinum on a few lists).
Rewatch Out 1 and Berlin Alexanderplatz.


Apart from that I've got no specific film watching goals for the year.

My goal for 2021 is to watch at least 15 series (either mini or long), including at least 5 anime and at least 5 Asian dramas. I managed to watch 23 in 2020, so 15 shouldn't be too hard.

It's been 1 month and I've seen 3 series (and close to finishing a 4th), so I'm doing well so far.

My understanding is that it was a response to 72aicm's post about trying to get an award for every list. I believe the image shows the lists that Tim still doesn't have bronze on, and how many films he needs to get there, since that is the column that the sheet is sorted by in the screenshot.

Working on Halliwell, and Best Picture Oscar nominees list but May look at nearest awards and films on most lists unwatched to some extent as well as TSPDT 1001to 2000. There is no way I would do something like try Bronze on every list since some lists have not much interest to me.

My 2021 goals :

- Watch at least 250 feature movies
- Watch at least 100 short movies
- Get platinum on TSPDT (currently at 880/1001)
- Get 104 awards (half of the lists, currently at 94)
- Get 12 platinum awards (currently at 7)
- Watch every movie on 9+ lists (76 to go)

An interesting month for me, but some goals need updates (TSPDT has now 1005 entries and new lists should add to my goal a bronze to obtain)

- Watch at least 250 feature movies / 48 movies seen in january.
- Watch at least 100 short movies / only 6 shorts seen in january.
- Get platinum on TSPDT (currently at 880/1005) / currently at 925/1005, so good progress ^^
- Get 105 awards (half of the lists, currently at 94) / Still the same number, I'll work on that later, and probably a little bit this month with 3 bronze I'm targetting
- Get 12 platinum awards (currently at 7) / Now at 8 with the FilmTotaal Forum's Top 100.
- Watch every movie on 9+ lists (76 to go) / Slow progress (didn't really work on that) with 71 to go.

- That my median check by year is somewhere in the 90's decade.
- That films in English comprise less than half of my checks.
- To keep watching 1001BYD films till I reach 2/3 of the list checked (about 110 films to go)

After one month:

- 16/250 ... not gonna make it at the current rate.
- Failing miserably, my median is on the 2010's
- Currently around 30% of what I've seen is in English, so I'm good.
- Watched 3 out of 110.

Some film goals

- Try to watch 1 film a day (for now, current pace is 2 each day)
- Try to watch "must-see films" and must-see cult films, incl. some older movies
- Watch more horror, sf, Asian movies and coming-of-age, the cult ones in those genres get my preference
- Working on some lists slowly, the top 250 ones, TSPDT 21st century, TSZDT, perhaps TSPDT, other contemporary lists, Vilsack's list, the 2 Korea lists, some Mexican/Latin American lists interest me most, the A.V. ones and BBC 21st century + some cult lists/333 Weird movies, but mostly the unofficial MM top 1000 list and the MM top horror list which is MUCH better than the ICM Forum one or the TSZDT one)

Watch all directed movies by:
- Ari Aster (completed)
- NWR (incl. rewatching Drive, OGF & Neon Demon)
- Kar-wai Wong (has potential to become one of my fav directors, just waiting to buy a dvd box of him with 7 movies in it)
