Movies where you cheered for "bad guys"

...that are not actually presented as protagonists too.

I've only got 2 so far:
The Predator
possibly Avengers's Thanos movies too

I would imagine there's some nazi propaganda like that but I haven't seen them.
currently working towards a vegan/low waste world + thru such film lists (besides TV): 2010s bests, RW Fassbinder, Luis Bunuel, Yasujiro Ozu, Eric Rohmer, Visual Effects nominees, kid-related stuff, great animes (mini-serie or feature), very 80s movies, 17+ sci-fi lists on watchlist, ENVIRO, remarkable Silent Films and Pre-Code (exploring 1925 atm) and every shorts and docu list I'm aware of and
and "Gordon" Liu Chia-Hui/Liu Chia-Liang and Yuen Woo-ping and "Sammo" Hung Kam-bo

All Alien films. And most slashers I guess. Sadly they rarely come out as the winners.

I've rooted for tons of antihero protagonists, but I'm trying to think of a time I sided with the villain over the hero protagonist. I've got nothing.

In my childhood, I usually hoped the bad guys would win. Even at a young age, I found the cliches of good vs. bad storytelling very tiresome, and I was always hoping for a surprise ending, especially if the villain was charismatic. I certainly hoped Hans Gruber would beat John McClane in Die Hard, not because I disliked McClane but because Hans was so much fun.

And yes, I rooted for Thanos in the Avengers movie where he kills everybody. He wasn't charismatic at all, but he killed so many characters I truly despised.

Also, the shark in Deep Blue Sea. Hard to not have sympathy for a killer movie animal with such great timing.

During Jurassic Park, I remember calling out, "Eat Timmy first." But I don't think I was rooting for the dinosaurs to eat any of the other people.

Similar to that, I was hoping for Tea Leone to be killed in Jurassic Park 3.
