Kind of an educational novelty short that I saw during high-school biology class (maybe other classes too). Very entertaining. There are a lot of abrupt cuts as the Great Lakes area evolves from ice to rivers to snow to woods to whatever, and whenever it was shown, there was a clamor for the teacher to show the film *backwards* too. Because there's a poor wilderness guy that's steady throughout the film, and he has all sorts of "Sherlock Jr."-type mishaps as the scenery around him switches. Even funnier when seen backwards.

Wings of Rean. I saw this in 2013 but wasn’t sure whether to check it because it might not qualify as a “movie”. Regardless, I have come to regard it as one of my favourite movies/OVAs.

Perhaps not “a long time” ago, but I saw this several months ago when Peng Xiaolian died. I only just added it to IMDb.

Kara no kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin
I saw this when it was new, as I was a massive fan of the series at the time. Not quite sure how it escaped getting a check. Seems like I also didn’t check the epilogue short, although I had seen that as well.

I watched Free Solo in February but just discovered I never checked it. Annoying.

not checked but re-rated Galaxy Quest since it's one of several hundred films over the last 5 years that have mysteriously "lost" the rating on IMDB that I had given them years ago. Imported my ratings/checks into ICM in early 2017 and checked, yep, still checked on ICM, but it's as if I haven't seen it on IMDB (no rating for it in my history). This can't be my imagination... IMDB is certainly a very weird database at times.

For a long time I had been searching for a film that I saw at a local film festival 11 years ago. And yesterday I finally found it when joachimt checked it and it had a familiar poster: https://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/nothing+personal/ Thanks about that!

Also, that lead me to check two other films that I saw at the same festival (there was some Irish theme going on then):

New Chinese Cinema. I thought I checked this 2 or so years ago when I first saw it. Turns out it wasn’t even on icm

The Natural. Reading a review of it I realised I saw it as a child.

And as of this edit: Peggy and Fred in Hell: the Complete Cycle. I didn’t know it was on IMDb.

New edit: Boonie Bears: Robo-Rumble. I saw this on TV with my niece during Spring festival last year. It’s a stone cold classic. I assumed it was unlikely to be on IMDb, but I was wrong.

No idea why this was unchecked. I went through all Bond movies after I joined iCM, but apparently I thought I didn't see this one, although I saw lots of Bond movies as a teenager. Just watched a few clips on youtube. Definitely remember this one.

Had two this past month - watched both of them, and realized I'd seen them both in the cinema back in the 90s (or maybe late 80s in the case of the first one). I thought I might have seen then but just couldn't be sure, not having accurate records (or memory):

I randomly thought of the hilariously disgusting cartoon pornographic short Chirpy the other day, so I rewatched it yesterday and gave it a check. ICM doesn't even have the sequel, Chirpy Returns, which is complete garbage with none of the perverse fun of the original.

Speaking of pornography, I discovered something very amusing today.

About eight years ago, I saw this film:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0138819/

It was streamable through Amazon Prime.

Today, I discovered that I checked off THIS film by mistake.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0258972/

Which is some infamous 10-minute stag reel! Same title, both released in 1951. Strange.

So, of course, I just belatedly checked the crime film AND watched the porn short to validate my past checking mistake.

What's even funnier is that the porn short is the film that's a check!! So I mistakenly watched a hourlong British film to get a check, when I could have watched a 10-minute short.

Was goning throught the lists i'm above 75th rank and just realised A LOT of action film from the action List had very different names than the french release names ,)

Saw almost every Action movie @ theatre bat in the day, JCVD, Seagal, Stalone & Shwarzy.

Just bump a little the mobie pictures sizes and checked 5-6 i deffinitivly saw in late 80's early 90's.

Theses were the golden age of action

I recently checked three things that I saw long ago.

1. the TV mini-series "The Temptations" (about the Motown singing group)
2. "The World of Photography"...a dryly hilarious video short where William Wegman -- you know, the guy who photographs his pet Weimaraners -- tutors a doofus on how to be a great photographer. I think I searched for this on IMDb/ICM in the past and didn't find it.
3. Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" video. I rarely check videos, but this one reached 13 toplists and I try to see/check every short on 13+ lists.

One of my little personal projects has been to go through the more well-known WB cartoons that I haven't seen - or haven't checked - and about half of them end up seeming familiar, with maybe 20-25% of them films that I absolutely for sure have seen - this past week, 1960's Hyde and Go Tweet came up. I'm sure I saw that at least 4-5 times since I was a kid but remembering the titles on all of these hundreds of shorts just wasn't possible when I started entering in my viewings on IMDb in 2005 or icm 4 years later. I'm guessing there are still 100-200 more unchecked - I'll get to them eventually.

My single biggest "checking annoyance" on ICM is feeling like I've checked off far too few WB cartoons that I saw as a kid. I've rewatched some just to solve the quandary, but I won't ever be motivated to watch ALL of the ones that possibly ring a bell....

This is a smaller issue, but I also wonder how many childhood viewings of Our Gang/Little Rascals shorts I've failed to record.

Got a Disney+ subscription for the animation challenges, in joachim's useful iCM list of all movies on Dutch Disney+ I saw a bunch of movies I saw as a kid, but never checked:
3 Men and a Baby
Cool Runnings
Operation Dumbo Drop
Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves!
The Love Bug
Herbie Rides Again
Herbie Goes Bananas
