Neither film really did it for me, and I agree with the previous poster that Alfred was kind of creepy, but overall the (East) German film worked better for me. Davies's narration had some brilliant moments, and there were some brilliant juxtapositions of music and image, but I found his film really uneven and it didn't really tell me anything more about Davies or Liverpool. I guess film essays aren't my jam.

Yikes I thought the deadline was Tuesday and was going to watch Germany tmrw. That said I love OTATC so it's unlikely my vote would have deadlocked the match.
