There wouldn't be any chance to sneak in my nominations now, would there?

Okay, the imdb list has not been updated yet and veteran doublers must have some privileges after all.

(Haha, hadn't realized I was at something to be considered a veteran yet, but it's been quite some years, I now realized. Time is a weird one.)

Thank you very much for your participation in the first phase. In this second and final phase we invite all doublers (whether you nominated films in the first phase or not; everyone is welcome to vote) to rate the nominated films. Thank you once again for your enthusiastic response.

Since you usually tend to prefer it, I have submitted an 'early in the proceedings' ballot (by email).
I'm sure I will see a lot more with next month's Official Challenge (thanks again for being flexible with the April deadline).
I will send write-in votes into you in batches (maybe 5 or 10 at a time) to avoid having to send you a private message 3 or more times a day.
My Breakdown of Votes
0 = 20 films
1 = 25 films
2 = 73 films
3 = 95 films
4 = 49 films
5 = 45 films
6 = 42 films
Voted on 349 films in total; mean vote: 3.23
Pointless Trivia

I just send in my ballot
Noticed there are movies on the ballot that are not in the ICM list by Hunziker (572/1165 checks -> rated 578), so there might be one or two others I've failed to spot now...
breakdown:
rank - votes - percentage
6 - 49 - 8
5 - 91 - 16
4 - 112 - 19
3 - 142 - 25
2 - 76 - 13
1 - 91 - 16
0 - 17 - 3
I expect to see 40 to 60 movies for the challenge, will send in my additional votes at the end of next month!

Yes - the Hunziker ballot is missing the 12 late submissions from Labraxas.
Like you, I used the iCM list as a reference point, so I have made note of the Labraxas films that I did not rate and I will submit ratings for them in my first write-in ballot.

Thanks for including IMDb-urls in a separate column in the spreadsheet. Makes it a lot easier to use formulas to put IMDb-ratings next to titles. I don't want to rate one by one.

damnit, I missed the deadline, I sort of expected it to be a lot longer.
I just sent in my initial ballot. Oddly this is the first time I've ever actually voted in DTC. Hopefully I did it correctly.
Question on this "write-in" ballot update process. Since I plan to watch a bunch of DTC nominees next month, I'll be sending in an update with additional ratings before the end of March. What exactly is the format for that? Just take the original sheet I just filled out and add the additional ratings? Only submit the net new ratings and exclude the ones I've already sent in?

I'll find some things to freshly watch but, at this point, I have exactly 300 films to vote for.

Nobody knows how things will turn out, but it's just an adjustment and not a complete reorientation. A film with a rating of 4 will still make the cut whereas a film with a rating of 3 will not.Fergenaprido wrote: ↑March 23rd, 2021, 7:40 pmSo we still rate on the same scale and that scale still means the same thing as previous years? The link for 'Double Lover' is doubled in the Doubling the Canon ballot, and I'm not just seeing double. More precisely, Bait (2019, Mark Jenkin) links to L'amant double in the ballot and probably due to that is missing in Hunziker's IMDb and iCM lists.

3 - 15
4 - 21
5 - 20
6 - 20
Lots of obscure films that deserve a place among the most classic of classics by my reckoning, and lots of run-of-the-mill grist and dry runs for better work that imo don't belong anywhere near an all-time canon.

I've submitted my ballot, a total of 261 ratings so far with a mean of 3.37. Last year I reached 293 ratings so I'm hoping to get close to that number again or maybe even surpass it during the forthcoming Dtc challenge.

Would have made sense, but no, only 3 of those 12 are my own nominations. I'm just quite strict with my ratings.
I gave more 6s in previous DtCs, but a lot of those have now been covered by the TSPDT 1001-2000.
It looks like the IMDb-list isn't entirely synched to the ballot yet. Gave me a slight headache when exporting my ratings.
From what I could spot:
- Stemple Pass is missing.
- L'amant double, My Dog Tulip and Tom à la ferme are off alphabetically.

Cannot help but feel responsibility for some of these URL-issues, as a couple of my very overdue nominees keeps being mentioned.
Please do tell me if there is some sort of re-checking or problem solving I can help with, to solve these issues.
