Hm, I only find two in the archives/past challenges:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=608&hilit=1001&view=unread#unread
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1471&hilit=1001&view=unread#unread

Finishing this list and TSPDT are my looong time goals, logical next steps after a complete IMDb Top 250 in terms of exploring beyond the mainstream, but I'm not the least in a hurry. About 75% completion for both.
Ask me again in 2025

Thank you, Torgo! I revived the latter of the lists.

I only just noticed that both of those old challenges are now situated in the Past Challenges folder. I wonder if this would warrant a new, permanent challenge, like with the unofficial TSPDT challenge. It would be a little easier to access, at least.

Well there we are: Your bronze 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die award has been updated to silver
YAY!
Huge milestone. In classic OCD fashion, I tried and stopped looking at my progress for this list (and TSPDT) somewhere in 2016 when I was getting closer to ~720/1001, all in order to get surprised when it would finally happen and enjoy it to the fullest. (Didn't plan to pause for 3 years in between, but hey.) - Oh, I see it's even 757/1009 I had to hit - this title is getting more and more off! Never actively worked on the list after 2016, never favored to give a film a watch for it being on the list, so it really caught me by surprise. Cool.
My accidental silver watch was It's a Gift (1934), a film belittled by many, precious to me as of now. Thank you W.C. Fields for that medal!
:D
