As a man walks steadfast, but seemingly without any goal, through a tumultuous city, the camera cuts to different more colourful names, details, "fun" features, and later what could probably be considered the protagonist's memories, or at least what springs up to his mind. Without presenting any insight into the character (what comes to mind that can be said about him is, I presume, "individualist"), I'm intuiting that every "fun" intercut isn't meant to highlight any significant change, in the sense that, when the short ends, it essentially feels like it did in the beginning, having looped. Nothing can be learnt from the anonymous (since aren't all those names simply covers of void?), rumbustious city, no understanding or sensibility other than mere "being" and traversing. The themes of Gilles's 'Absences répétées' are echoed.
