Happy Birthdays. Mine was 223.

On the old forum the birthdays were mentioned on the frontpage. Now there's no way to see it (or is there), so we never celebrate each other's birthdays anymore.

This one does too. There's no birthdays today.
Edit: I changed my birthday to today to check, and it works.

It's not actually my birthday.
Edit: Maybe fewer people have set their birthdays here?
Maybe I just never scrolled far enough down on the frontpage.

Active topics is the page I bookmarked.

I'm never on the font page, only refreshing "Active Topics", so I would never see birthdays
First of all, PAY ATTENTION TO MY SIGNATURE!
Second, Doris's birthday is more important than any of our birthdays.

Happy birthday!!!!
My wife and I celebrated our 80's birthday today,
My birthday is in the winter and my wife's birthday in the fall (and our daughters as well), so that way we can never celebrate a birthday in spring or summer. Today was the exact day in between my 40th birthday and my wife's 40th birthday (I turned 40 last February and my wife will be 40 in October), so we decided to celebrate that. We had a lovely party in the garden. Although there was a little bit of rain near the end of the afternoon, the temperature was good and we had enough shelter in a tent and a wooden garden shed.

Sounds great, JT. Happy 80th birthday together! Hope you'll enjoy many more happy and healthy years together.
10 years since I joined ICM today!
I checked 293 movies that day, most obsure was Trolösa (244 checks today)
Only two of them are unofficial today: Kirikou et la sorcière and Training Day, but maybe they were official back then

Congrats.

Those movies must have been official then, because (if I remember correctly) 10 years ago you couldn't check unofficial movies.
Yes, the major import day for me was 9.1.2011, so I guess it was only official ones until then

I read an article about local celebrity Red Symons earlier this year and this bit stuck with me:
'He read some pop psychology which resonated with him. It suggested that in your mid-40s you still reckon "I can be a contender", while by the time you get to your 60s you think, "Well, that's what I've done."
"I had a great conversation with [singer and former Australian Crawl frontman] James Reyne about exactly this, that the useful thing about success is that it gets it out of the way. You don't spend the rest of your life thinking, 'Oh I wish I'd been a rock star, I wish I'd been on TV [or radio].' It's just done."
This is why I wish I'd experienced at least one great relationship when I was young, so I could've got it out the way and not spent the rest of my life regretting that it never happened.

You've got two years on me. I'll be 28 in May, so 30 is beginning to creep up on me. For what it's worth, I've heard most of my older friends say their 30s have been better than their 20s.mightysparks wrote: ↑January 25th, 2021, 10:33 pm Thanks, feels sad to have left the 18-29 voter range of IMDb lol

This is the first decade of my life since I was born that I’m not starting out obese or overweight so I’m already starting it out at my healthiest. Physically and mentally. It will probably be the last decade in which I have full use of my legs so I’m going to try and take advantage of that.kongs_speech wrote: ↑January 25th, 2021, 10:40 pmYou've got two years on me. I'll never be able to be who I want to be, but I guess I'll be okay as long as I continue to find myself tolerable.mightysparks wrote: ↑January 25th, 2021, 10:52 pmThis is the first decade of my life since I was born that I’m not starting out obese or overweight so I’m already starting it out at my healthiest. Oh damn, I wasn't aware you had an issue with your legs. I'm sorry to hear that.
