one of my absolute greatest pet peeves related to movies/tv is when people complain about "plot holes" but what they mean is something happened off screen and they were too dumb or distracted to realize it. like, if you just missed it, that's fine I'm not moaning about that. but when people insist that it's a "plot hole", a miserable failure on the screenwriter and/or director's part. plot hole plot hole plot hole plot hole. it's one of those viral words that once a certain type of person hears the term, they won't stop using it.

^ As a citizen of Trump's America, I find that most horror films are a pleasant escape from reality these days.

Odd sentiment. It's like an action movie but generally with more drama and imagination and effort. And everyone likes action movies.

Eh no. I hate Michael Bay action movies.
And basically any action movie after 2010 where mostly the goal is just throwing stuff on the screen. The even manage to ruin The Christmas Carol with an actions scene. Really?

I guess Texas works, but I figured that Florida would be more appropriate to describe something "completely crazy or out of control."

Area of Texas according to Wikipedia: 696,241 km2 (268,581 square miles)
Area of Norway according to Wikipedia: 385,207 km2 (148,729 square miles)
So the image kind of ruins the fact of the day for a geography freak like me.

Yeah I saw the image, Texas is bigger than Norway, I get it, but I was just asking Lammetje what does that have to do with enjoying this fun fact about Norwegians using "Texas" in this slang way? It just seemed like a non sequitur response, regarding the context.

The use of Texas is based on the Western connection, not anything that happen today.
So the stereotypical unlawful western town, Where eveyone do exactly what they want.
Basically we could just as well say your typical 80s high school movie.

Fun film fact:
So, you remember this viral clip that's been floating around online?
It's a spot-on remake of a scene from 5 Against the House... Go to 33:25 if you're curious (counts for the noir challenge)
