Anyway, thanks Chris for showing me around London, that was a lot of fun.

I had a good time meeting Carmel. We tried to get into a cinema to see A Quiet Place, but it was sold out, so we went to a Chinese restaurant then walked down to Westminster and along the other side of the Thames to the British film institute. I do have photos of us both outside the Prince Charles cinema ("official home of The Room in the UK"), but Carmel doesn't want his photo on here, so instead enjoy these photos I took during our walk:

Here's what I'd be interested in seeing, if we go to Film Co-op (all Brakhage)
Shores of Phos: A Fable, The
The Horseman, the Woman, and the Moth
Scenes from Under Childhood Section #3
The Animals of Eden and After
15 Song Traits
Scenes from Under Childhood Section #2
Scenes from Under Childhood Section #4
American 30's Song (not sure if available)
Not sure if all are available - some might be too faded to show, if I remember correctly from last time.

New Yorkers / east-coasters: I'll be in New York from September 21 to likely September 27. Afterwards I'll be in Washington DC for two or three nights before heading onwards to Virginia until October 6.
If anyone is interested in a meetup during that time let me know. Cause I'd sure like to attach some more faces to the usernames.
I've heard great things about Local Heroe's New York trail of tears walking tour. That sounds like fun to experience. ;)

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Film Co-op has a screening already on Friday May 4th, so they can't accommodate us. I'm travelling through Europe again this summer, but it seems mostly to places with no forum members: Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Estonia.
I'll be living in Estonia for a month, though, so might head over to Helsinki for a weekend, and I plan to visit Stockholm after. Looks like there are a couple of Finns and Swedes around. If anyone fancies a meetup, or has suggestions on great film-related things to see in any of those places, feel free to PM me.

I might be around pending plans to go to Florida for my mother's 85th birthday on the 27th.
I'll be in Amsterdam in August if anyone wants to meet.
The whole of August? I'll be on vacation till half of August. Maybe a meeting in the second half?

Also, I'll assume that the company that hosts us will organize a dinner at least one evening where I kinda have to attend, but I don't know any details abou that yet.
We'll be staying at the Mercure Hotel Amersfoort Centre. No idea how convenient the location of that is to get around.
Enough to go to from that hotel. Let me know when you know the details. Maybe we can have diner somewhere (Wednesday and Thursday is best for me in that case).metaller wrote: ↑September 14th, 2018, 6:50 amwOOt! That's awesome! wOOt! That's awesome! I assume I'll be too tired on Monday evening, but I should be good to go on one of the days from Tuesday to Thursday.
Also, I'll assume that the company that hosts us will organize a dinner at least one evening where I kinda have to attend, but I don't know any details abou that yet.
We'll be staying at the Mercure Hotel Amersfoort Centre. No idea how convenient the location of that is to get around.
