How did you find out about the forum?

I was wondering where exactly we had attracted members from so I thought I'd do a poll on it.

TSPDT

Edit...uh...today is not my best day. I probably learned of this forum from Facebook.

Can't recall for certain, but I'm pretty sure it was from this blog post: http://www.icheckmovies.com/blog/social+media/

You know, I can't remember. I either saw a link to it in someone's profile, or I got a PM on iCM - those are the only two possibilities I can think of.

For me it was the forum group on ICM, although I never go back there. The ICM groups feature seems a waste of time without seperate threads or conversations, plus it seems redundant as all the fun happens over here.

Yeah, the groups don't work too well. The only reason we did one was to try to get new members. The group is only there so that people on iCM might come across it and join the forum. It was never intended for any great discussion.

Pretty sure I followed a link from someone's profile while randomly checking out the top members.

hehe, intothewild read my mind - I was just about to recommend doing such a survey of members!
Anyway, if memory serves, I got a PM a long time ago from intothewild and signed up for the forum, but didn't log in for a while at first.

I voted for 'Other' just because I couldn't be bothered clicking 'show results' all the time.

I voted "Other". Why isn't "On an iCM member's profile" an option?

June 15, 2011 : I read a list on imdb from a member name "baalman" : http://www.imdb.com/list/360sTV07Eh4/
In this page, there's a link of his icm profile.

June 15, 2011 : I join ICM.

June 19, 2011 6:03 PM : Inbox message in ICM from intothewild :
Hi,

We've started a forum for ICM. Take a look and register with your ICM username if you're interested. Unfortunately, Kasparius has joined us, my mistake.

http://www.icmforum.comindex/
June 20, 2011 : I join the forum.

The moral of that story : link on a profile + MP on profile = new profile.

I can't remember.

Surely not from Forum Group, Google, FB, Comments section, any ICMers profile or any personal PM (I was new then in ICM then) and obviously not from 1001 movies list.

So that leaves me with the Blog post. So that must be it. But I am not sure I have seen any blog post regarding this.

Found this forum through Google when I was searching for rare titles from the Rosenbaum list. I stumbled upon a Rosenbaum challenge. The rest is history.....

Took me a second. :D

I honestly don't remember. I was already a member of the ICM Facebook group (we don't talk about that anymore), but registering for one of these darn old message boards was a step one had to think twice about in a time like 2011/12. Hm.

He's somewhat standoffish - like an aloof professor type - but pleasant enough all things considered.

And his list is the best on the site.
