There is a similar thread on RYM in which members post screenshots they like. Don't know if there is one on ICM forum. Anyhow, I start one now.

Would anyone be interested in having a screenshot competition (with nominations and voting) to find out what this forum considers the best screenshots of all time?

In another forum I go to, we had a screenshot game in which two screenshots (chosen by different users) would compete. Everybody could vote on it. And when one reached 10 votes, that one would win the match. And the losing one would be replaced by a new contender, chosen by another user. That would be kind of fun.
The amount of votes is needed for a win, could be determined by the number of regular voters on this. Or we could set a timeperiod instead, every match lasts a week or X days

Good idea.
We can start it in this area.

This might be my favorite frame. It is a moment I caught between two scenes in Pickpocket.

Indeed. It's an outstanding film by a female director. A real pity.
Still its situation is better than Syrian film The Dupes.

This is just random - a damaged frame from a silent film - but I like it.

Is it as dreary as Ossos and Juventude? If so, I'll give it a pass.

I didn't watch Ossos yet, but O Sangue is quite bleak. Juventude felt different though, like a more documentary-like approach while O Sangue is more plot based.

I feel like Fear in the Night has a shot like that but I can't find it right now. There must be a Losey film or two with a shot like that as well, given how much he uses mirrors.

I've never seen it, but this is the poster for Trouble Man: http://i.imgur.com/zuyexma.jpg so maybe that counts as well.
